The Fiber Optic Association
An introduction to the Fiber Optic Association (FOA)
The FOA is an international non-profit educational organisation that is dedicated to promoting professionalism in the field of fibre optics. The FOA CFOT program continues to gain momentum in fibre optics.
Over 23,000 CFOTs have been certified bin over 200 training programmes as the FOA enters its 14th year. Since being founded in 1995, the FOA has promoted fibre optics and professionalism in fibre optics personnel, focusing on education and certification. |
FOA Fibre Optic Training
Training courses for fibre optic technicians
The dramatic growth in optical communication networks in New Zealand desperately calls for more skilled human resources in Fibre Optic Cable installation, planning and network design.
FOA courses are suited to contractors, installers, architects, project managers and all others who are involved with projects that include fibre optic networks or applications such as CCTV or security. |
SCA Structured Cabling Training
New courses for installers of structured cabling
The Structured Cabling Association (SCA) has now become part of The Fiber Optic Association (FOA). This allows FOA approved programmes to offer broader structured cabling courses through over 200 approved training organisations.
The SCA CCT certification is now offered by the FOA as a specialist certification in premises cabling, CPCT. |
