Certified Fibre-to-the-X Technician (CFxT)

The Fibre-to-the-X industry is poised for growth over the next 1-5 years.  The key constraint is the technical skills that are required to design, build and manage these exciting new networks.

The specialist module for the Passive Optical Networks (PON) covers the technology and techniques used in the design, planning, deployment and fault finding of the technology used in FTTx systems.

Who should attend?

Installation technicians and those responsible for fault finding FTTx networks. Prerequisite is a CFOT qualification.

What will you learn?

On this course technicians will learn about new Passive Optical Network  (PON) architectures, new cable types and the alternative termination systems.   Other key subjects are; premise connectivity, testing and fault restoration.

This course can be tailored to the needs of a specific network that the technicians will be working with.
